Bourne Wood Manor Care Home Event:
On Thursday 18th July, Bourne Wood Manor Care Home will welcome Steve ‘Seb’ Sebburn, a gold and bronze medallist at last year’s Invictus Games in Sydney.
During a mission specific training exercise for Afghanistan in 2014, Steve was involved in a tragic accident resulting in serious back and brain injuries and was told he would never run or cycle again. Four years on, Steve won the gold medal in the men’s road cycling time trial and a bronze in the men’s road cycling criterium. Hear his inspirational story first hand, from initial diagnoses, the physical and emotional struggles and defying the doctors and the odds to proudly serve his country once again in the sporting arena.
